Curriculum: Geography Key Stage 4


At Key Stage 4, students opting for GCSE Geography will follow the AQA GCSE syllabus, which is divided into 3 Units of Study:

Unit 1: Living with the Physical Environment

•    The living world
•    Physical landscapes in the UK
•    Geographical skills

Unit 2:  Challenges in the Human Environment

•    Urban issues and challenges,
•    The changing economic world
•    The challenge of resource management
•    Geographical skills

Unit 3: Geographical applications

•    Issue evaluation
•    Fieldwork
•    Geographical skills
