Joey Essex at the Informal Carol Concert?

Added 6 months ago

Well that got your attention– didn’t it?!
The Informal Carol Service is a ‘slightly’ less reverent occasion than our Cathedral Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, but crammed with musical talent, nevertheless. This year’s concert saw the RLS Jazz Band perform Soul Bossa Nova, As I Look at You (with Trombone solo from Katie Blackburn) and El Tigre, the RLS String Group performed Jingle Bell Rock, and the Recorder Ensemble performed The Kyng’s Pavyn and Walking in the Air. There were also inspirational solo/duet recitals from Megan Smith, Freya Cooper, Isobel Doughty, Charles Secombe, Abi Piper and Redley Flowerdew and a magical moment when parents and ex-students joined the school choirs to sing Handel’s ‘And the Glory of the Lord’ which ‘made Mr Pascoe’s Christmas’
Of course the occasion would not have been complete without the infamous Cousin Jacks, who delivered their unique and highly amusing songs with gusto, livestock, audience participation and an expensive tie.
And Joey Essex?
