On the 21st June, 11 year 8 students headed to Truro High School for an action packed day. There were 12 other schools and we were arranged into groups for the day. We arrived at 9am for a keynote speech by Dr Rachel Nicholls-Lee, a naval architect.
There were workshops on building boats and testing them in the school pool.. We were challenged to building a rig which would hold the most mass using chocolate welding!
We also enjoyed ramp building, wind turbine building, Aeroplane building, Army exercises, and much, much more….
