A huge thank you and a Pudsey pat on the back to all our super bakers who took part in the first round of the Children in Need Bake Off last Friday raising over £80!
This is a 3 round event, organised by Mrs Knight and round one invited contestants to create a Children in Need themed biscuit.
There were 12 fabulous entries, all of which were photographed and then cut into taster portions. For 50p any student could become a judge and choose 2 tasters to then vote for their favourite.
As you can imagine this was a very popular event with our students!
We can announce that the STAR BAKER from round one is….
BETSY ROBERTSON with her Nigella Lawson recipe of chocolate spotty cookies.
There was also lots of positive and grateful feedback for the other entries.
We are now looking forward to Round 2—Cupcakes which will take place next Thursday (18th October) as Friday 19th is an INSET day. The grand finale - Round 3— a Children in Need CAKE - will take place on Friday 9th November when Richard Lander School will also fundraise for this charity with a non uniform day and fun activities.
