Year 9 Fire Safety Tour 2015
Added 26 mins ago
After weeks and weeks of hard work and rehearsals in the drama studios at lunchtime we launched our tour. Sixty of our Year Nine students took their Fire Safety Tour out to Mount Hawke, Truro Learning Academy, Chacewater and Threemilestone Primary schools.
The drama students performed nine short plays each with a very important fire safety message. The hour long show was very well received by the primary school audiences as the plays used humour, dance and music to get their messages across. Each play was introduced by our narrators Jade Beech, Mairead Dolan, Nell Dart, Alisha Hick and Megan Beynon. The production’s sound was operated by our backstage boys Sam Stephens, Jenson Webb, and Harley Norgate. Some of the topics covered being safe around bonfires, not overloading plugs and the importance of checking your smoke alarm.
The primary school audiences listened very carefully and went home with some very important fire safety advice. The professional presentation was praised by the Primary school staff - well done to Year 9 – you were a credit to the school.
