The annual Castle Competition took place on Friday 8th December. This year’s entries were of an exceptionally high standard and once again the History department had a difficult job picking 3 winners from the 36 finalists. We had some creative entries with students building siege weapons to go with their castles and using unique materials such as rubbish that had washed up onto a local beach. The winners this year were Anou Sabetien (RDMe), Abi Stuart (TRWe) and Ella Woods (TJHe). Anou’s and Abi’s castles were fantastically detailed and historically accurate and Ella Wood’s castle was very realistic and well researched. Thank you to year 7 for so much collective effort!
