We were delighted to welcome the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra into school just before half term. They filled our corridors with a varied programme of music which offered something for everyone. Starting with the overture from The Marriage of Figaro, moving on to ‘I’ve Got Rhythm!’ and ending with an original composition from the founder of the orchestra who wrote this moving piece of music when he first found out he had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. After their wonderful performance the orchestra invited our ARB students to try out their instruments. Students found that they could get beautiful tones out of the cello straight away where as the flute was a bit more difficult to get a note out of.
