Lander4Uganda 2020 - Could This Team Break All Fundraising Records?

Added 1 week ago

After last year’s L4U 2019 fundraising record breaking total of over £37,000 and the extremely impressive total the year before of £28,500, we really didn’t think it would be possible to come even close to this ever again … but.. it’s fair to say the L4U 2020 team have made a superb start, and, as January draws to a close, they have already banked a staggering £23,723.98!

Festive Fundraisers!

Recently 2 bag packs in Morrison’s, Newquay, and Tesco, Redruth contributed nearly £2000 to this total, along with our kind students contributing money instead of buying and accepting Christmas presents, and the creative crafters on the L4U team raising funds by selling their wares at Christmas fairs.
Other festive fundraisers included selling candy canes, a wreath making workshop, bake sales and, of course, the RLS Santa Run!

L4Uniform

Our L4U Uniform Shop is now in its 3rd year of trading. It has raised over £4,500 this year alone and over £8,200 in total! We estimate that second hand uniform has also probably saved RLS parents over £15,000 as well as being far kinder to our planet than buying new :)

The L4U Uniform Shop is always grateful for donations of clean uniform in good condition.  Please contact Mrs Anderson in Student Support or bring uniform to parents evenings or other school events where a L4Uniform rep will be delighted to take it off your hands!

...Coming Soon….Lander4Uganda Online Auction 2020

On Monday 3rd February, Mrs McGregor will be opening the 2020 JumbleBee L4U2020 Online Auction! This is fabulous opportunity for you to grab a bargain whilst supporting our/your favourite cause. I have been lucky enough to a sneak peak of some of the lots, there are loads of them and they are amazing! There is a brand new soft board, kindly donated by Hot Surf 69,  2 brand new Finisterre jacket, meals at so many of your favourite local restaurants and a signed Exeter Chiefs Rugby Shirt to mention just a few tempting prizes..

Thank you so much to all the students, parents, staff and wider L4U community who have donated or collected an auction lot, bought an item from our fundraising stalls, bought a coffee from Café Uganda at a parents evening, sponsored a student, gone without a Christmas present, driven students to bag packs or helped in any other way. We couldn’t do it without you!!

Webale Nyo :D
