Between the 12th and 19th of September, IT teacher Webb, competed in the 2014 World Lifesaving Championships for Masters held in France, Montpellier.
Mr Webb was competing in the 30-35 years age group and achieved the following results:
5th Board Rescue (Surf Event)
8th Surf Teams (Surf Event)
13th 50m Manikin Carry (Pool Event)
14th 200m Obstacle Race (Pool Event)
19th Board Race (Surf Event)
20th Surf Swim (Surf Event)
International Competitions are not new for Mr Webb who competed for Great Britain and England in the sport of Surf Lifesaving between 2000 and 2003 and also managed the National under 19s Team in 2011 and 2012.
Mr Webb said :
“It was a great competition and my first World Championships. The Competition was really tough and although I didn’t medal it has given me new motivation to achieve and better myself in the forthcoming 2015 European Championships to be held in Spain and the 2016 World Championships to be held in the Netherland’s.”
