Stay Brave Brian Gravy

Year 9s perform with O-Region to Primary School audience.

Richard Lander hosted the acclaimed Theatre Company O-Region last week.  A Primary School audience from Threemilestone,  Chacewater, Truro Academy, Blackwater and Shortlanesend were treated to an hour long show full of song, music and larger than life cartoon like characters.  The show was highly recommended for KS2 by O-region. They produce work which is fun, entertaining, creative and thought provoking. Simon Harvey (Director) and Carl Grose (Writer) both work with Kneehigh, they are both hugely successful AND ex-Richard Lander students!

Stay Brave Brian Gravy is a stylised fantasy which utilises physical comedy and original songs.  Through the eyes of a child and in a uniquely humorous way, it explores the separation of parents, individuality and the importance of friendship.

Our Gifted and Talented Year 9 Drama Students worked with the Company the day before; learning the songs and the chorus parts to help narrate the main action on stage. They worked so hard and had a great deal to learn in a very short space of time.

The KS2 audience were transfixed by the show and they hugely enjoyed the comedy and the story telling – it certainly gave them a lot to think about when they got back to school.
