We are really looking forward to the Cornwall Music Festival, which is happening the week after next.
It’s always such a delight to take our musicians out on the road, and this is a brilliantly organised event that gives us an opportunity to connect with musicians from other schools.
Cornwall Music Festival 11th – 15th March 2024
Monday 11th March – Instrumental Solos
A few instrumental soloists are off to the festival with their parents to compete in some solo categories! We wish them good luck!
Tuesday 12th March – Musical Theatre Solos and Duets
Students who have been entered for this category will travel with Ms Foxon and Mr Gibbons by bus
The bus will leave RLS at 8.45am to get to Truro Methodist Church.
The event time is – 9.30am-12.40pm
The bus will return from at 12.45pm and get back in time for lunch.

Wednesday 13th March – Popular Song Solos
Students who have been entered for this category will travel with Ms Foxon and Ms Wright by school minibus
They will leave RLS at 9am to get to Truro Methodist Church.
The event time is –9.55am-11am
The minibus will leave around 11am to get you back to school for around 1130am

Thursday 14th March – Choirs
Three school choirs (Y7 choir, who will combine with Y8 & Y9 choir, and Selected Voices) will travel with Miss Jones, Ms Foxon and Mr Gibbons for the choirs category.
The bus will leave at 10.30am to get to Truro Methodist Church.
The event time is 11.20-12noon
We will return to school at approximately. 12 noon and return to classes for about 12.30pm

Friday 15th March – Instrumental Ensembles
The School Orchestra, Soul Band, Samba Band and Les Miserable crew will travel with Miss Jones, Ms Foxon and Mr Gibbons for the choirs category. We will be out all day so please bring plenty of snacks!
The bus will leave RLS at 8.40am for Truro Methodist Church and the events are all day long! There will be a break in the day when you can have your lunch.
We will return to school at 2.45pm to get back for school buses for 3pm.
If you want to go home directly from music festival please make this known on the permissions forms.
