It is great to welcome students back to school after such a long break! They are getting to grips with the new timetables along with school life in a year group bubble, hand sanitising, hand washing and extra cleaning routines; all of which enable us to be a COVID secure school.
Students and staff test for Coronavirus, at home, every Wednesday and Sunday evening. The results of these tests need to be registered in two places. Thank you for testing regularly!
1. Government Testing Website
2. School Online Form.
Asymptomatic Testing in school - September 2021
As you will be aware, the Government has asked that schools undertake another program of asymptomatic COVID-19 testing in September. All students will be tested twice at the start of the term, 3 - 5 days apart.
In order for us to be able to test your child we need your consent. You will have been send a link to an electronic form by e-mail, however you can also access it by following this link.
If you do not want your child to be tested, please indicate that preference on this form. If you do consent to your child being tested, but on the day they decide that they do not want to be tested, they will not be forced.
You might also find it useful to watch the video below, which gives you a guided tour of our testing facility. Please note however that this was made for the first round of testing in March and the type of swab being used in schools has changed to a double nasal swab rather than a throat and nasal swab shown in the video.
Thank you to all our parents who support this in providing students with face masks and all the equipment that they need to be successful during the school day.
Throughout this process we have taken guidance from the Government and Public Health England (PHE) in how we can ensure the safety of your children and our staff at the school, and we continue to follow their advice on how we should manage any suspected or confirmed cases within our school community.
This page of the website will keep you up to date with our latest risk assessments, Covid-19 management plans, letters sent home and government advice.
If you don't find the information you require here, please don't hesitate to contact the school on 01872 273750 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
