Following their Lander's got Talent success; rock band, Seidon, and comedian, Matthew Hall, decided to use their talents to raise funds for Children in Need. They played to a packed out school hall and, by charging 20p entry fee and selling some merchandise, managed to raise over £100. Along with the bake off money and non-uniform money, this meant that Richard Lander School contributed £1544.69 to this very worthy cause.
Children in Need provides grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged, in all corners of the UK, with the aim of empowering children and extending their life choices.
In the past, Children in Need have supported local charities such as Penhaligon’s Friends, which supports bereaved children and Carefree Cornwall, which supports children in care.
