Physical Education has a significant role in shaping young people's physical, personal and social development. Of course it is about sporting excellence and achievement. But it is also about self-esteem, personal target setting and making the right choices about healthy living.
Our curriculum sees students participating in a broad range of dynamic and high-quality activities. They will develop a wide range of individual skills as well as team tactics, and learn to play a range of sports with confidence and flair. Furthermore, they will learn to analyse sporting situations, reflect upon their own and others' performances and decide how to improve for next time.
Working in groups and teams, students will develop concepts of fairness as well as personal and social responsibility. They will also have the opportunity to take on leadership, coaching and officiating roles.
There is also comprehensive extra curricular provision, during the lunch hour, after school and through representing the school in a range of competitive individual and team sports.
Our sporting facilities are first class all round. As a new school, our specialist facilities include a sports hall, gymnasium, health related fitness suite, all-weather pitch, tennis courts and playing fields.
